Town look to ease relegation worries

BASINGSTOKE Town will be looking to snap a two game losing streak away from home and with it start to move away from the Southern League Premier South drop zone.
The Dragons went down 2-1 to a last minute winner at Salisbury last Saturday. With results on Tuesday night, Town have slipped to 15th in the table and are only two points clear of the drop zone.

Next up this weekend is a trip to Hendon, who occupy the place directly below Town, so a Dragons defeat would see them slide nearer to the mire.

Town will be minus left back Rob Gerrard for the rest season as has left the club to work and play in Australia.Town’s opponents like Town have lost their last two outing, but while Basingstoke lost both 2-1, Hendon have shipped seven goals including a 3-2 defeat at home to second placed Weymouth, after they led at half-time.
Manager Martin Kuhl said: “Rob goes with our best wishes as it is a great opportunity. I will look to bring someone in if I can.”
“We have a good spirit in the camp and just have to show that mental toughness now to get the results we deserve.”
